  Introduction

The Mechanical - Industrial Management Engineering program, began with its first generation of students in the year 1978, so that in 2016  celebrates its thirty-eight anniversary, since then, its graduates have been inserted and worked very successfully in their field of work and hold a high pride in their College.

The Mechanical-Industrial Management engineer is a professional with a solid background in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Management.

  Mission

The mission of the Mechanical-Industrial Management Engineering program is aligned to the mission of the College of Engineering and is associated to an integral education of Mechanical Engineering professionals with a solid preparation in Industrial Administration, competitive and innovative, as well as research and cutting edge technology development, for the benefit of society.

  Objective

"Provide to society a professional of mechanical engineering at the highest level, with a solid preparation in Industrial Management, capable of performing her/his professional duties in a dignified and effective way, in the national and international stages. These professionals should also be able to design, improve, operate and manage excellently, manufacturing and/or service firms.”

  Applicant Profile

The desirable characteristics in the students are:

  • Having vocation to develop in the engineering field.
  • Possess facility for mathematics and manual dexterity, which allows the verification of their designs and research, by calculating and managing various devices.
  • Concern for the needs of the society in which it operates and the conservation of their environment strong.
  • Arrangement for social relations and to the humanistic understanding of problems in the industrial field.
  • Desire to contribute to the creation of new technology in our country.
  • Communication written and oral skills, both expressed as to capture information.
  • Be proactive, creative and possess analytical mind, concentration and imagination to solve problems and formulating their goals and projects.
  • Adaptability and willingness to work in team.
  Graduate Profile

The Mechanical-Industrial Management Engineer upon graduation has the following knowledge and skills:

  • The graduate will be able to design, improve, operate and manage production systems of goods and services, ensuring the quality of these.
  • The graduate will be able to design, select the necessary operations, equipment and mechanical components required in the processing of raw materials to finished products and /or services.
  • The graduate will be able to participate in the design of products and / or services from conception to production and marketing.
  • The graduate will be able to solve technical, human and administrative problems, conscious of socioeconomic and environmental impact of their decisions.
  • The graduate will be able to coordinate efforts, awaken and maintain the motivation of their staff towards achieving the objectives and goals of the organization.
  • The graduate will be able maintain an attitude of service, honesty and responsibility in the exercise of their profession.
  • The graduate will be able to operate cutting edge technology and methodologies, both in the field of Mechanical Engineering and Management.
  • The graduate will be able easily adapt to different social and cultural groups.
  Program Educational Objetives (PEOs)

Mechanical-Industrial Management Engineer will have to attain within a few years of graduationthe knowledge and skills to:

  1. Design, improve, operate and manage production systems of goods and services, ensuring the quality of these.
  2. Design and / or select the necessary operations, equipment and mechanical components required in the processing of raw materials to finished products and / or services.
  3. Participate in the design of products and / or services from conception to production and marketing.
  4. Solve technical, human and administrative problems, conscious of socioeconomic and environmental impact of their decisions.
  5. Coordinate efforts, awaken and maintain the motivation of their staff towards achieving the objectives and goals of the organization.

As a result of their studies in the MIME Program is expected that graduates have the following students outcomes:

  Requirements

Full Certificate or evidence attesting full finishing the baccalaureate in any of the following ways:

  • Physics - Mathematics Baccalaureate
  • General or Unique Baccalaureate
  • Technological Baccalaureate in an appropriate area
